We are looking for a lawyer for the Department of Pricing Regulation and Supervision, placed at the Unit for Pricing of Subsidized Substances. The Department of Pricing Regulation and Supervision investigates applications for subsidies and pricing for, among other things, consumables, generic drugs, biosimilars, new formulations of a drug, and price changes. Furthermore, the department is responsible for the rules regarding generic substitution and conducts follow-up and supervision according to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Act.

Job Responsibilities

As a lawyer at TLV, you will work both independently and in teams with other lawyers and professionals such as medical investigators and analysts. We strive to work across unit and departmental boundaries to achieve consistency and enhance learning within the organization. In addition to your colleagues in the department, you will also have support from the agency's legal unit.

As a lawyer at the Unit for Pricing of Subsidized Substances, you will participate in the handling of cases regarding pricing and subsidies for drugs and consumables where decisions are made by the Director General or the Pharmaceutical Benefits Board. You will provide support to the medical investigators and be responsible for the legal issues within the benefits legislation. As a lawyer, you will also assist with legal analyses and general legal advice such as confidentiality assessments, responding to consultations, and handling appeals. Key areas of law include administrative law, public access and confidentiality, as well as the legislation that pertains to TLV's areas of operation.

Your job responsibilities will involve providing legal support in case handling and working on legal investigations regarding the legal framework that underpins our operations. There may also be opportunities to participate in various internal development projects, government assignments, and regulatory work. Your responsibilities will include communicating results both in writing and verbally. The work involves significant interaction with colleagues in various functions but may also involve external collaboration with other authorities, companies, and/or organizations.

It may also be relevant to provide legal support to other parts of the agency.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a law degree or a Bachelor of Laws
• at least five years of experience after graduation, of which at least three years of experience in the last five years in administrative law or investigative work at a government agency
• good knowledge of administrative law and confidentiality legislation
• good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• legal work related to healthcare legislation
• legislative work or regulatory work
• work with government assignments or other larger projects
• court work
• work with pricing and subsidy issues related to drugs or consumables.

As a person, you are flexible and can easily shift focus between different tasks involved in various processes with both short and long lead times. You thrive in a dynamic environment that places high demands on legal knowledge both broadly and deeply. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you are attentive and adaptable in your relationships with others. You are self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented, and you find it easy to prioritize your tasks. The unit's investigations are presented both in writing and orally, which requires you to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Employment Type

Permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
